  • Condition: This book is in really good condition overall. It is easy to read & the pages are clean and supple. No stains on interior pages. There is some discoloration on the first 5 & last 3 pages of the text and inner covers. All other pages are nice and clean. Binding is tight. This was Virginia Poyer's personal copy of the book. Everything else is in excellent, like new condition.

    several wonderful momentos documenting the history of the
    National Association of Colored Women's Clubs, Inc.
    These came from the personal estate of Virginia Poyer of Albany, NY
    who served as the President of the Empire State Federation from 1973 to 1977 and was also the Chairman of the Board of the Northeastern Federation of Women's Clubs.
    Included are:
    *The History of the National Association of Colored Women's Clubs, Inc. A Legacy of Service by Charles Harris Wesley. --
    First edition 1984. 562p.  Features information on the founders of the organization and numerous women who served with dedication.  Page 207 features a photo of Virginia Poyer and information about her many contributions.
